I want to admit that there's a chance no one will ever care that much about these discussions I'm attempting to have, but I believe wholeheartedly in the power of openness and civil discussion. Even if it takes some time to get people to open up and take part.
Next question.
Gay marriage. Why should I care? Does our government's opinion on this issue matter all that much? Is the institution of marriage which God put in place several thousands of years ago (if you subscribe to that belief, which I do) really in jeopardy based on how the U. S. government defines it?
I realize this is a loaded question, but I do have my biases, rather than try to hide them and include them inadvertently I may as well just do what I want and let people know where I'm coming from. (See: openness)
I think marriage as a whole is messed up and our government doesn't even know what it means...some people when they get married instead of death do us part or whatever the line is its as long as you love one another and blah blah...marriage is twisted...life has been twisted. So does it matter what the government things of marriage no...its what Gods view of marriage is that should matter to us.
